I got this 2 days before my exam and read half of it after the mailman have it to me. I planned to read the remaining part that evening but forgot and the next day I was busy with workers in my house and truly to take my last practice test I didn't bother. I did glance at the remaining half and took a bit of a look at unfamiliar terms. Lo and behold, I had about 3 or 4 questions from this book. Si I'm glad I got it. I took a star of because it's not organized as a test aid so even when I came back to reference a question, it wasn't directly stated, more so implied. Can you wing it without this book? It's a 175 questions with 150 graded. I noticed the questions from this book were the very direct questions vs the convoluted stuff. The others were stuff you can only do via practice and I was able to do about 700 questions and practice test via a schoology qbank course which was great. The practice questions helped and the exams on there were timed with 175 questions and 150 graded just like the real exam. The good thing about that was it had questions from this manual and most of the reference books so I was well prepared. Honestly, that was the best prep I had. I learned so much from the rationales and being able to practice on the computer under timed settings was priceless.

I highly recommend this book and "Toward Healthy Aging: Human Needs and Nursing Response, 7th ed" by Ebersole to study for the exam.
