Bought this as a gift. Very disappointing. This is a PAMPHLET, not a book. Very large font size and many 1/2 pages of info...amounts to under 16 pages of "information" in huge font. Extremely overpriced for what you get, and will be a disappointment to the gift receiver. I can't vouch for the content because I don't play, but know that Magic is very complicated, and trust the other review that indicated the information is not as represented. Skip this and find the info online somewhere. Totally overpriced and "dinky". Should cost $3 at best, not $17! Lame.
This is a useless book, title is completely misleading, it is not a strategy guide, it is a description of different types of decks out there. It doesnt teach you how to play the game, dont be fooled by its title. 25 pages of crap.
I’m disgusted I paid money for this “book.†Took about 10 minutes to read from “front to back†and it offers no useful information that can’t be found for free elsewhere. There’s not an ounce of strategy to be found. Stead clear.
I love this book so much.Everything you need to know is in this book. This include an overview of types of players and a look at types of decks for winning.within these pages is a collection of player profiles and basic strategies that have been seen throughout the history of magic.with this guide , a beginning player will know what goes into a victorious Magic deck and how to win games with a deck of their own creations.The techniques explained in this book worked for me and I am sure that , it will work for you also.Highly recommended.
Last week I picked this book for my younger son who loves to play various strategic games so much. By hearing from him & seeing his interest on this card game, I purchased this guidebook & gave it to him a few weeks ago. Yesterday he came to me and told that it was an outstanding guidebook so far. Throughout this book he got lots of ideas, lessons, tips and techniques about how to win in any types of game. He told me a short overview of this book and by reading from him, I already understood about the quality of this book. So guys, if your son or even you like to play this game and want to learn some effective strategies to set up your mindset, then don’t miss your chances to read this book. Honestly, I recommend it!Aside from recommendation, I would like to suggest this author for extending the discussion, tips & lessons and make it perfect for all type of gamer. Anyways, looking forward to see it's next version.
