However we like to depict the owl—creepy and haunting, or majestic and beautiful—their singularity in the animal kingdom and their unflinching colonization of our Earth is simply breathtaking. And that is why I love owls.

Beautiful book. The descriptions of the owls are filled with personality and beautiful illustrations. I'll be buying the other books like these, as well.
Love the drawings! It reads like a scrapbook of someone who loves owls with cool tidbits of useful information. Nice touch!
Took a look through before giving away as a gift to an owl lover/environmentalist. I don't recall how I stumbled upon this one, but it was a hit.
Quite a few owls (50) from around the world packed into this little book. The descriptions are brief, usually with an indication of locale. The drawings are accurate and quite good. The small size of this volume would allow you to carry it with you when searching for and spotting owls.
My grandson loves raptors. this was a nice intro to owls who are a very interesting bird.
What a beautiful book! The drawing are superb, I like it very much.
