I have been interested in real estate for a while, and have researched it for 2 years. I am drawn to lower priced properties but platforms like BiggerPockets said that they are "pigs." I heard Ms. Phillips on a BiggerPockets podcast and was intrigued because she said that those are the exact types of properties that are extremely profitable. I bought her book and it has totally enlightened me. My analysis paralysis is gone, and I feel like this is doable. Her techniques, including one she calls CPR, are lifesaving. Some of this stuff may seem like common sense (even though we know common sense is not common LOL), but some of it is so brilliant that I am kind of in awe. I am happy to finally get started on this real estate adventure and I encourage you to do the same. These profit margins are (for lack of a better phrase)," off the chain. By following this proven blueprint, we can make sure that money is not a problem for us, or for our families and children. That's what I call legacy. Thank you Ms. Phillips. May God bless you to continue to be a blessing to the poor and downtrodden who know that there is something better out there for them. With the knowledge Ms. Phillips is giving and a little action, financial freedom and abundant life are available to the masses FOR JUST 99 CENTS!! Even at full price, this knowledge is a bargain. Amazing read! I am about 30 pages in so far. Didnt want to stop if not for my daughter wanting me to play video games with her(daddy duty) . So far, it’s eye opening. It’s investing with a passion and with a purpose! Can’t wait to jump back in tonight.
What a great book!Lisa takes away the old stigma about landlords being out for themselves and shows you how you can actually invest in real estate while helping others. She shows you how you can provide a good home for good people at a good price, while still making money.Her strategy is easy, even for those who don't have $100,000 to invest. I was really impressed with this book and would recommend it to anyone considering getting started in real estate investments. (Actually, I think one could use the same strategies on the purchase of a personal home as well!)
I feel like I have hit the jackpot with this book! Everything I have been looking for summed up in one place.Lisa tailors the message in a way that makes it so easy to follow and makes you feel empowered to start buying homes.It feels like I have my own personal real estate investor mentor accessible anytime.
I haven’t finished reading the book just yet, however I am almost done. I’ve taken my time because there’s so much information that I want to take in. The book is simple, put together and encouraging. When I first looked into investing into rental properties I assumed I needed a ton of money (that I didn’t have). Lisa’s book has assured me otherwise and has also pointed out things I thought were super important, but are not! I added myself to the group & I am encouraged. The book is an easy read and fast read with just enough, not overloaded, with information.
I absolutely LOVED every bit of this book!!! My goal is to get into real estate investing within the next few months and thought I should be somewhat educated before I started. I got the book because Lisa is an African American person like myself and felt like she would speak to me on my level and she provided more than I was expecting! Even if you are not African American and come from a similar background to where you were brought up in a “blue collar†family that didn’t have a lot of money, you will receive gems in this book! Looking forward to my next steps and hopefully a mentor ship in her program!!!
I was actually sitting in a 3-day real estate workshop of one of the guru's when I did a Google search and found Lisa Phillips on the list of successful black real estate investors! After the workshop I immediately start researching about Lisa and her strategy for acquiring real estate. One video and I was hooked! This book gives a great overview about the steps in the system she has developed to buy sub30-50K rental properties. I love her approach. Her strategy resonated with me and made me feel like this is something I can really do to build our portfolio while making a positive impact in working class communities that are often marginalized which is personally important to me as well as my hubby and sister who are also joining me on this REI journey! The book is practical and easy to read. Now that I'm finished I have signed up for her monthly mentoring to take it to the next level. I have a lot to learn and I am confident that working with Lisa will be a very good return on my investment!
If I had read this book before buying a property in cash, I wouldn't still be sitting on the remodel trying to figure out how to do it. This was a great read and perfect for a Metro ride. (For the next book, please get a second set of eyes, there were a bunch of typos) :-). This was a great insightful read. I even purchased a copy and sent it to my brother. At least he won't make the mistakes I did. Putting a team in place before the transaction was something I never knew. This book was well worth the time to read it. Grab it!
